After 28 years of practicing medicine in Redding, CA, I will be closing my practice, Richard Mooney, MD, Inc., DBA: Women’s Healthcare Associates of Redding and Asuriti Center for Continence and Pelvic Wellness, located at 2420 Sonoma Street in Redding the practice of Richard Mooney, MD, Jorge Pena, MD and Hanh Cline, PA-C. I will be relocating to another state to pursue a teaching opportunity.
I would like to extend deep appreciation to all of our patients. Thank you for your confidence in me and my staff for your years of loyalty and friendship. It has been a privilege to care for so many people in this community. It has been a pleasure to work with so many dedicated and talented nurses, doctors, technicians, and support personnel over the years. All are an integral part of our medical community. I'm excited to announce I have established a new practice location, starting 3/20/2023, at Redding Family Medical Group.
I will no longer be providing OB Care, but I will be continuing my GYN services such as; annual exams, birth control, STD testing, abnormal bleeding and hormone replacement therapy and infertility. I will still be offering surgical interventions such as hysterectomy, tubal sterilization, laparoscopic procedures and minimally invasive surgeries. I look forward to continuing to provide the best care to our community.

I will be providing general GYN care including annual pap smear, breast lump/ exams, STD Screenings, birth control, urinary tract infections, vaginal discharge, wart/skin tag removal, clinical non surgical Urogynecology services; Urinary incontinence, Interstim programming evaluations and treatments. As well as providing specialty referrals.

How to Get Your Medical Records
Option 1 (Free)
Release of Medical Records forms are available via the patient portal in our electronic medical record, Athena Health.
Once you are logged in on the left side of the screen select My Health.
On the My Health page select “Health Records”, then select the date range you wish to pull.
On the bottom of the screen you can then select Download or Email, which will be sent to your personal email address.
Option 2 ($25 Flat Fee)
If you would like your medical records sent to a new provider, our office has contracted with Professional Medical Copy Service of Redding to provide patients with a copy of their medical records.
They will charge a reasonable flat fee of $25 for processing medical records requests. They can be reached by visiting their website or calling (530) 241-2971.
